3-Deal versions, and other games...



Even when I'm short of spare time, I made some progress with all the Funworld stuff. Lots of changes to the driver and some new additions. Here are some shots...

Jolly Card (3x3 deal). This version allow the player to get a 3rd deal.





Jolly Card Professional 2.0, from Spale-Soft. This version generate a code each 1st boot. You need an external PC program to enter this code and get the needed inputs sequence to boot the game.






Lucky Lady (3x3 deal). Another 3-deal game, heavily based on Royal Card.









Lucky Lady (4x1 aces). Same game as above, but with other features instead.









Royal Vegas Joker Card (slow deal). A different poker game from Funworld.









Royal Vegas Joker Card (fast deal). Clone of above with 'fast deal', from Soft Design. I didn't play it enough to see the differences.

[Computer MSX] fMSX v3.5

News

The Latest Version of fMSX is 3.5!
Starting with this release, I am reintroducing the fMSX-Unix port. The updated fMSX-Unix source code is now included with the core fMSX distribution. All three common screen depths (8bpp, 16bpp, 24/32bpp) are supported when running the emulation, although I still suggest that you compile it for your native screen depth: this way, the built-in config menu and debugger will also work.

Other changes include sound fix when restoring state (sound will not get "stuck" any more), changed secondary slot handling in MSX1 mode (MSX1 boots with DiskROM again), and several cosmetic changes to the keyboard handling code.

The fMSX-Symbian has now been ported to UIQ3 and should run on Sony Ericsson and Motorola phones. Unfortunately, I only have one UIQ phone, a Motorola Z8. Please, test fMSX-Symbian on other UIQ3 phones and report your findings. fMSX-Symbian users who have no [EDIT] ("pencil") key can now use [8] key to invoke the virtual keyboard. I have also added many new configuration options: the audio latency, the frame skip rate, and the frame synchronization can all be configured now.

Currently, you can get both fMSX-Windows and fMSX-MSDOS for the total price of $19.99 (or cheaper, if you use coupons). The fMSX-Symbian and fMSX-Unix are free. The complete list of features and the list of new features and fixes can be found in the documentation. Please, look for bugs and submit bug reports and fixes to me.


 

What is fMSX?
fMSX is a program that emulates MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ 8bit home computers. It runs MSX/MSX2/MSX2+ software on many different platforms including Windows, Symbian, MacOS, Unix, MSDOS, AmigaOS, etc. I started developing fMSX in 1993 when there were only two other MSX emulators available, both exclusively for MSDOS. From the very beginning, I developed fMSX as a portable program able to run on many different computers. The initial development, for example, was done on DEC Alpha workstations running Unix. Since then, fMSX has seen quite a lot of updates and been ported to many systems. It is still being developed, although not as actively as before because most features are pretty much complete now.

As I made the source code available for others to see from the very beginning, many MSX emulators derived from the fMSX code have appeared in the past years and still continue to pop up every now and then. My copyright policy is simple: you can use my code for non-profit purposes as long as you give me a proper credit with my name, URL, etc. Using the whole code as it is and calling it a different name is not permitted though, just like any other form of plagiarism. If your company intends to use MSX emulation in its products, you can license the fMSX source code from me to use it for commercial purposes. * After a long pause, finally updated fMSX-Unix port. fMSX-Unix source code is once again available as part of the core source code distribution. It has been debugged on the Ubuntu Linux. Let me know of any incompatibilities with other Unix flavors.
* Extended fMSX-Symbian port to support UIQ3 phones from Sony Ericsson and Motorola. As I only have key-operated Motorola Z8, testers with pen-based SE phones are badly needed.
* Added run-time compatibility with 8bpp, 16bpp, 24bpp (32bit pixels) and 32bpp screen depths to fMSX-Unix. IMPORTANT: At this moment, built-in config menu, debugger, and NetPlay dialog will only work at X11 screen depth that matches your compile-time setting (i.e. -DBPPxx) in Makefile. Make sure you always compile fMSX-Unix for your default screen depth.
* Disabled secondary slots for primary slot #0 in MSX1 mode. DiskROM boots in MSX1 mode again.
* Now syncing all sound channels after loading state, sound does not get "stuck" any more.
* Renamed command line option -zoom/-nozoom into -soft/-nosoft.
* Moved a few key definitions, so that "!@#$%^..." characters can now be used as indices into Keys[]. This is done for compatibility with GDK key events.
* Renamed KeyMap[] to KeyState[] to avoid name clash with MacOSX system API.
* ALT swaps joysticks 1/2 on all platforms where applicable.
* CONTROL/SHIFT keys now act as FIRE-A/FIRE-B joystick buttons on all platforms.
* Improved fMSX-Symbian sound code, although sound problems still persist on some UIQ3 phones.
* Split fMSX-Symbian/S60 configuration menu into four tabs, making "Video" and "Audio" settings separate.
* Added "Audio Latency", "Skip Frames", and "Sync Updates" settings to fMSX-Symbian.
* Added to fMSX-Symbian ability to use Nokia E61/E62 [FUNC] key in the built-in menu.
* Fixed an fMSX-Symbian bug where pieces of virtual keyboard remained on screen after closing it.
* Pressing [8] key on fMSX-Symbian now invokes virtual keyboard, if enabled, for the phones which do not have the [EDIT] key.

[Computer] Virtual T v1.0 Win32
Virtual T is a TRS-80 Model 100/102/200 emulator that runs on Windows, Linux, and Macintosh. The goal of Virtual T is to provide 100% hardware emulation so any existing programs will run. It also adds powerful development and debugging tools.

Notes:
1.  Fixed ReMem emulation in both Normal and MMU modes.  Memory mapping now consistent with
    an actual ReMem.  Emulation supports only the latest ReMem FW version (64, 65, 66).  In
    MMU mode, both sector access and direct memory access work properly.  Also fixed some bugs
    with the the Rampac emulation.

2.  Added configuration page for ReMem Map display and setup.

3.  Added support for M10 Emulation.

4.  Added breakpoint capability to CPURegs window.  Up to 4 breakpoints can be specified and
    enabled or disabled.

5.  Added Remote control interface via sockets.  The socket interface is enabled via a command
    line switch to specify the socket port, such as "virtualt -p 20000".  The protocol is
    simple text command and response with async text messages sent for breakpoint and otional
    screen output messages.  See Help for full details.

6.  Added serial I/O support under Linux.  The current implementation has a few "hard coded"
    port names in the port list, but allows the user to specify an "Other Host Port" name to
    specify the serial device.

7.  Modified the main emulatin loop so it uses fewer CPU cycles.  Previous versions consumed
    up to 100% CPU cycles causing heat issues and reduced battery life on laptops.  Added
    new Speed menu selections to allow finer setting of emulation speed vs. CPU utilization.

8.  Fixed a bug with the emulation of interrupts and with the extended opcode DSUB flags.

9.  Added a vt_client project / application to communicate with VirtualT socket interface
    using a very simple command line interface.

10. Added a "Cold Boot" option to the Emulation menu.

11. Added content to the Help system.

12. Transitioned the Windows development environment to Visual Studio 2005.  The project files
    are no longer compatible with Visual Studio 6.

13. Added a feature to patch the ROM on load to show VirtualT version in the MENU. This can be
    disabled in the "Memory Options" menu.
   
14. Added auto detection and creation of missing emulation directories.  For new installations,
    all emulation directories will be created and ROM images copied from the ROMs directory.
   
15. Patched all ROM images with Y2K fix.

A bug fix version, 0.56, has since been released, and this is what is linked to now.

Temper (Turbografx EMulator PEr Request) is a PC-Engine/TurboGrafx-16 emulator for GP2X.

We've been really busy the past few months on Mupen64 development - I've put many hours into a fully-native 64-bit dynamic recompiler, NMN has written a new ROM browser, and DarkJezter added LIRC support for the NOGUI build. There are also a bunch of bug fixes from DarkJezter, Ebenblues, Gunther, and myself. Thanks to the whole team for your effort!

As usual, there are links for both 32-bit and 64-bit binaries and individual source packages for RiceVideoLinux and Mupen64-amd64.

DICE must be run from the command line by navigating to the directory where DICE is installed and typing

where "gamename" is the name of the game to be run, and "options" is any number of command line options. The following game names are supported:

This wip-version is primary an bugfix version, because in WIP 06, the storage of edited metadata isnt possible. The other changes are minor modifications. I´ve added an label for the search reset button, so you know, what it is for :-)

1.  Fixed ReMem emulation in both Normal and MMU modes.  Memory mapping now consistent with
    an actual ReMem.  Emulation supports only the latest ReMem FW version (64, 65, 66).  In
    MMU mode, both sector access and direct memory access work properly.  Also fixed some bugs
    with the the Rampac emulation.

2.  Added configuration page for ReMem Map display and setup.

3.  Added support for M10 Emulation.

4.  Added breakpoint capability to CPURegs window.  Up to 4 breakpoints can be specified and
    enabled or disabled.

5.  Added Remote control interface via sockets.  The socket interface is enabled via a command
    line switch to specify the socket port, such as "virtualt -p 20000".  The protocol is
    simple text command and response with async text messages sent for breakpoint and otional
    screen output messages.  See Help for full details.

6.  Added serial I/O support under Linux.  The current implementation has a few "hard coded"
    port names in the port list, but allows the user to specify an "Other Host Port" name to
    specify the serial device.

7.  Modified the main emulatin loop so it uses fewer CPU cycles.  Previous versions consumed
    up to 100% CPU cycles causing heat issues and reduced battery life on laptops.  Added
    new Speed menu selections to allow finer setting of emulation speed vs. CPU utilization.

8.  Fixed a bug with the emulation of interrupts and with the extended opcode DSUB flags.

9.  Added a vt_client project / application to communicate with VirtualT socket interface
    using a very simple command line interface.

10. Added a "Cold Boot" option to the Emulation menu.

11. Added content to the Help system.

12. Transitioned the Windows development environment to Visual Studio 2005.  The project files
    are no longer compatible with Visual Studio 6.

13. Added a feature to patch the ROM on load to show VirtualT version in the MENU. This can be
    disabled in the "Memory Options" menu.
   
14. Added auto detection and creation of missing emulation directories.  For new installations,
    all emulation directories will be created and ROM images copied from the ROMs directory.
   
15. Patched all ROM images with Y2K fix.

Noise patrol

I’m working on emulation of the AICA (the Dreamcast/Naomi/Hikaru sound chip) behind the scenes with kingshriek and Deunan Knute (the Makaron author). Since AICA is basically an SCSP with double the voices and a few feature tweaks the obvious basis was MAME’s now reference-quality SCSP emulation. That’s allowed us to get to a pretty good state in a short amount of time. The ADPCM sample type isn’t quite right yet, but the basic functionality and effects DSP are working. You can take a listen to the current code playing a piece from Sakura Taisen 4 right here. (Note: this is via a DSF rip, it doesn’t mean Dreamcast works in MESS).

D-Fend Reloaded is a Frontend for the DOS Emulator DosBox.


D-Fend Reloaded Changelog Version 0.3.0 (02/08/2008)


- Completely new designed and more clearly arranged profile editor (the classic
D-Fend style profile editor is still available and can be activated in the
setup dialog).
- D-Fend Reloaded can look for updates on start up and via menu now.
- Captured wave sounds for each game can be listed, saved, deleted, played and
encoded to mp3 (encoder not included) or ogg.
- For each profile a DOS version number which should be reported by DOSBox
can be configurated.
- You can (optional) define a custom DOSBox installation for each profile to be
used to start the game.
- You can define additional information of the type key=value for each profile
and filter the games by this new categories.
- Font sizes and colors and balckground colors and images in the main window
can be configurated.
- The multi profile editor can change window resulution, fullscreen resolution

- You can define for each profile to activate, deactivate or keep the status
of the num lock, the caps lock and the scroll lock when starting DOSBox.
- New profile settings: Switch mouse to 2-button mode and change mouse buttons.
- New profile settings: Sound volume for the different virtuel sound devices
(master, disney sound system, speaker, GUS, SoundBlaster and FM).
- The conf file, which will be used when opening DOSBox, can be opend in a
text editor now.
- Making translations of D-Fend Reloaded is now much easier with the new
buildin language editor.
- The icons in the program (toolbar, menu and profile editor) are not
exchangeable via an ini file.
- The profile icon can be used as the link icon when making desktop or
startmenu links now.
- External image files can be added to the screenshots list via the screenshots
popup menu now.
- The file names of the profile files can be changed from within the profile
editor now.
- In all dialogs with a games selection list where games could be selected
by genre, now games can also be selected by developer, publisher, year and
language.
- More view options for the games list (simple list, report, small icons,
icons; simple list and report with and without icons).
- The setup dialog has two different feature sets "easy" and "advanced" now.
- New menu item for direct D-Fend prof file import.
- New setup option: Start maximized.
- A new statistics window has information about the number of profiles,
the number of templates, the number of icons and the number of profiles
per genre.

- [Fix] The path comparison for making paths relative worked case sensitive,
so some paths abbreviations may be missed until now.
- [Fix] The select buttons in the multiple profile change dialog had no

- [Fix] Changed genre, publisher, ... in the multiple profile editor did not

[Console] Glide64 WIP

Upcoming Glide64

Just thought I'd post some of my experiences with the new Glide64 version.

There are some pretty major updates to emulation. Here's just a few:

* Conker's Bad Fur Day is now emulated perfectly. Yes you heard right: This game, when emulated, now looks 100% identical to real N64 hardware. Considering this is the most technically taxing and impressive N64 game out there, this is saying something.
* YUV texture support. These framebuffer textures are now natively supported. Games like Bottom of the Ninth use this for image representation purposes.
* 32-bit texture support. Needed for the Japanese version of Pokemon Stadium.
* rdphalf microcode commands are emulated. This is used for Perfect Dark and GE 007 sky. Which also means Perfect Dark is, perfectly emulation.
* Not to mention on top of that, full high resolution texture support.

There's loads of other nice things too, but it will take all day to list them....

?CPS2を0.119のセット?容に準?し、0.119u3までのいくつかの新規クロ?ンに??。
?シャド?フォ?ス日本語版のエンディング直行回避修正を適用。
?バル?ンボンバ?のサンプル再生に??。

バル?ンボンバ?のダミ?サンプルはsamplesフォルダに同梱しています。最近大幅に
??が進んでいる麻雀類は一つも加えておりませんが、こちらはそのうちに雷豆+の方で
??したいと思います。


?更点(雷豆+)
?CPS2やネオジオ、R-TYPE等0.121?にセット?更があったものを現行ベ?スに更新。
?ブランニュ?スタ?ズやファンタジックラブ等いくつかの新規セットを追加。
?未??作品資料をさらに?充。

各?示板で質問の元になっていたセット?容を中心に更新しています。麻雀類はddenlovrと
bnstarsドライバしか今の所加えておりません。なお、ブランニュ?スタ?ズは1?面動作です。
その他では前回の?雷豆追加セット分??と、ソロモンの鍵等の起動不良を修正しています。


補遺(雷豆+):
   0.122u1よりタスクフォ?スハリア?操作修正を追加し、NA1のサウンド修正に??しました。
   0.122でのネオジオセット?更を反映し、UNI-BIOSの??バ?ジョンを2.3に?更しました。
   P6、DJボ?イ、アストラ、インテグラル等の動作を現?に準?し、いくつかのゲ?ムを追加しました。
   ハイパ?ストリ?トファイタ?IIフェニックスエディション(NEBULA版)を?雷豆と同?に追加しました。
   雀狂を追加し、入力操作が出?るように修正しました。(ラストチャンスは未??です。)

前回からもう少し積み?し分に??してみました。?行ファイルの日付がおかしなことになっていますが、
2008年元旦に時計を合わせようとして間違えたためですので?になさらないでください。
とりあえずこれからも間をおきながら更新は?けたいと思います。本年もどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。


※NeoSource?示板よりFBAのCPS3グラフィック修正を適用してみました。サ?ドストライクのOPグラフィック等が

Basically, this is u8, but as a full release. I expect to make more headway on the older techs this time around, by cleaning up the original code where possible.

Whats this? well its just a simple storehouse for my build of AGEMame while its in the intermediary 'U' stages between full versions, since not everyones set up to compile it I thought why not stick a binary up for people that may want it? its normally found over at EmuHQ but I'm putting it here as well so other emu news sites can link to it if they want and don't like linking to another news site for the download.

So to the downloads then grab them from:
AGEMame .123 this one contains the regular and Age32 versions.
AgeUI32 .123 AgeUI on its own.

To compile AGEMAME32 place the usual MAME and MAMEUI source files (provided at http://mameui.classicgaming.gamespy.com/ or http://www.mamemirror.tk) in the usual locations for compiling MAME/MAMEUI(not in the AGEMAME directory), with AGEMAME extracted as normal

Simply compile as with normal MAMEUI, but adding TARGET=age to your command line.

Precompiled builds are provided by Hawq

Month of Bugfixes Recap

February 6th, 2008

Well, the last few days didn’t generate any qualifying bugfixes, so the final donation is $1,080. PayPal sent!

Thanks again to everyone who contributed! There were a lot of great contributions from outside the core team, plus the return of a few old-timers for some guest bug fixes, and good effort all around.

One interesting side-effect is that the awareness of MAMETesters went up, which is a good thing. But it also means that a lot more bugs were filed this month, so the net effect on the total numbers is probably not quite as positive as I might have imagined.

Would I do it again? Maybe, but not very soon. It definitely increased awareness, but it’s also clearly difficult to keep momentum going for a whole month. Perhaps I’ll try something a little different next time, who knows?

This is the current home of rankings.ini, a MAME32 support file that categorizes all original MAME games according to ranking.

This file was created for a variety of reasons, but primarily because I felt it helps people have more fun with MAME. It's a bit daunting sifting through 6500+ games in MAME trying to find something fun. Hopefully this will make the task easier!

Just download the .ini file and drop it into your "./folders" directory underneath the MAME32 parent.

Games are ranked as follows:


0 (Not Working): The game doesn't work at all. Note that this includes all games marked as "GAME_NOT_WORKING" in MAME; but is not limited to them. This is because I believe there are several games that should have the "GAME_NOT_WORKING" flag set but for whatever reason (oversight, most likely) they do not.

10 or 20 (Terrible): The game is utter garbage and really not worth playing at all.

30 or 40 (Poor): The game play is not good, the frame rate, colors, responsiveness may be substandard, or the game itself may be a bad rip-off of another, original game.

40 or 60 (Average): The game doesn't feature anything particular interesting or unique, though it may be worth playing every once in a while.

70 or 80 (Good): The game is definitely worth playing but falls short in some areas.

90 or 100 (Great): The best stuff is here. This includes all games considered "classics" but also includes games that are just a whole lot of fun to play.


A few notes regarding this file:

  • I only rank original MAME games. This means all clones are out. The only exceptions are games that only have working clones; in these cases, the parent is listed as "0" and the clone is ranked in accordance with its quality.

  • The rankings above are based purely on how "fun" a game is, rather than other factors. Joust doesn't look like much by today's standards, but I challenge anyone to come up with a modern game that's more fun to play! One exception to this rule: games that rely on knowledge of Japanese (of which I have none) such as mahjong and quiz games. I was forced to rank these games based on qualities such as graphics and animation rather than gameplay.

  • I'm not going to pretend my ranking system isn't controversial - it is. For example, I'm sure many fans of the "bronze" era of arcade gaming (circa 1971-1978) will feel slighted since many of these games are ranked pretty low. But hey - that's the way I feel about them. IMHO, video gaming didn't really start getting fun until Space Invaders. Really.

  • Your opinion counts! If you feel that a particular game deserves a higher/lower score (and no doubt, you will), feel free email me. Heck, you may not even get scorned! :p

    While v0.028's release went a lot better than expected, there was one significant problem: it appears that the Linux OpenGL renderer did not work correctly on any of the four ATI graphics card drivers. It seems to be related to partial implementations of GLX v1.3 (you know, the ten year old Xlib interface for OpenGL?)

    Rather than continue fighting these drivers, I instead opted to backport the driver to use GLX v1.2 instead. This seems to work on the fglrx, ati and radeon drivers. I don't know much of the radeonhd drivers, but I believe they lack 3D acceleration anyway.

    sinamas also came up with an ingenius trick to work around the X Visual problem: that is to say, a GLX rendering context requires a window with the same X Visual as itself. But it's not possible to change the Visual of the existing window that is passed to the GLX driver. sinamas suggested creating this new window as a child window, and embedding that within the rendering window. This worked wonderfully, and eliminates the need for enumerating all available GLX contexts, which is why I needed the GLX 1.3 API in the first place. bsnes now uses the GLX-recommended Visual, which also eliminates a color problem that existed on the fglrx driver when using the default X11 visual.

    I also removed the glClear command inside refresh(), as it was redundant and caused flickering on non-buffered visuals. It might even give a slight speed increase on some cards.

    Lastly, [vEX] pointed out that I should use the -D flag for the install command in the Makefile. This has been fixed.

    I'm not updating the Windows binary to v0.028.01, as absolutely nothing has changed in the Windows port yet. I'll update again when the Debian repository is synced with the new version.

    About:

    bsnes is an emulator that began development on 2004-10-14. The purpose of this emulator is a bit different from others: it focuses on accuracy, debugging functionality, and clean code.

    The emulator does not focus on things that would hinder accuracy. This includes speed and game-specific hacks for compatibility. As a result, the minimum system requirements for bsnes are very high.

    The emulator itself was not derived from any existing emulator source code, such as SNES9x. It was written from scratch by myself. Any similarities to other emulators are merely coincidental.

    PSPAtari: Atari 800/130/5200 Emulator for PSP v1.1.2 (final)




    Hi All,

    Here is a new version of PSPAtari the emulator of Atari 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200 series.

    For those who haven't seen previous versions, Atari800 is an emulator for the 800, 800XL, 130XE and 5200 models of the Atari personal computer. It can be used on console, FrameBuffer or X11.

    PSPATARI is a port on PSP of the version 2.0.2 (April 08 2006) of Atari800 from Petr Stehlik.

    What's new in version 1.1.2 :

    - Speed improvements
    - Auto-fire mode, press RTrigger+X to switch it on/off
    useful for games such as space Xevious !
    On given games, the auto fire can't be stopped easily
    (so you might have to disable it several times)
    - Bug fix: settings weren't properly loaded when using
    original 5200 menu
    - Add several new hotkeys :
    . settings such as fps, render mode, auto fire speed
    can now be directly modified inside the emulator
    (no need to enter in the settings menu)
    . quick save / quick load current state
    (no need to enter in the main menu)

    Rant:
    It has been more than 4 years since I started this plugin. Back then pcsx2 didn't have any sound plugin except for spu2null. I remember getting into the pcsx2 IRC channel (#pcsx2 on efnet) and asking for help to make a sound plugin. One of the pcsx2 developers kindly gave me some documents and wished me luck, and I promised I would do my best.

    After some days, or weeks, I had enough registers implemented that the bios would start to play sounds. It was a revolution. First sounds ever to come from pcsx2!!

    Too bad the sounds were completely wrong, as I had misunderstood the ADPCM algorithm. I kept working on it after that, but not regularly at all: I can spend a few days working on something, but once I'm stuck debugging for too long, I get bored.

    After me, there were a few other attempts at doing spu2 pugins. One of them, ps2sp, was a bit more successful than mine. These attempts caught pete's attention, so he decided to hack up a spu2 plugin too.

    For some time, pete's plugin has been the best choice to many, and recently Zerofrog, annoyed by the relatively bad results of our plugins, also decided to code his own.

    With so much competition, it has been hard for me to get my plugin to have acceptable results, and even if I'm releasing, it still fails to compare with zero's in most games. But on the other side, my plugin has always been coded with compatibility in mind, so even if it's few, there's some games where it gives better results.

    I want to make clear there's some known problems with the plugin:
    • If the game runs slow, the plugin will be all loopy. This is the expected result given the way I coded it. I might improve the output system someday if I get better ideas.
    • Some games seem to have "clicks" and noises while playing music, videos and speech. I'm clueless as what coudl cause it.
    • Some games seem to have robotized sound. I don't know why yet, but I will look at it if I get reports of games doing it.
    • Some games don't like to work with the plugin. I'm specially interested in knowing about them, so I can fix the problem(s).
    • Some people seem to get problems with audio output. Make sure you are using the DSound module, and your sound card supports 48000hz output correctly.
    • When the emulator crashes, there's some chances that the ASIO output plugin will not have the chance to shut itself down. In those cases it will leave the device used, and a reboot is required in order to "unlock" it.
    • Savestates are broken. Specially the plugin will ignore a save if it wasn't created by itself. Blame the lack of a proper standard save format.

    Note 1: As of version 1.4, fmod.dll is no longer required to use the plugin, but it is still required to use the FMOD output system.

    Note 2: The plugin has its own speed limiting system. For some reason when the emu limits the FPS to 50/60, the sound plugin still runs a tiny bit too slow so if the game generally runs stable at 100% using the framelimiter, it's recommended to use the limiter on my spu2.

    Rant:
    Heya people,

    A few days ago I started to code a CDVD plugin using IOCtl raw reading as the access method.

    The main reasons I started this plugin were:
    1. To have the ability to start the emulator without a disk in the drive, and to be able to swap discs anytime.
    2. To be able to keep some kind of "cache" or maybe a file with "hints" about what is the game gonna read next.

    At the moment, the plugin will start without a disc, and will detect when the disc is removed or inserted, but sometimes it fails to detect the disc correctly and it will report the disc as being illegal (making the bios show that annoying red screen).

    I have attached two versions of the plugin: v0.1 and v0.1b2. The code is all the same for both, with the exception b2 has pauses after detecting a new disc. These pauses might help in avoiding discs being detected as illegal, but make the detection slower.

    In any case, it's a really young plugin, just a few days old, so enjoy it as much as you can, and tell me of any problems you find on it!

    After having installed Atomic 0.19 , unzip this file in Atomic folder and replace existing ones.
    - Fix 3 little bugs in AtomicManager , AtomicKey and LedWizManager
    - Fix a big bug in the page jump to next letter option in Atomic.exe
    - Fix a bug in the live filter dialog in Atomic.exe
    - Fix bugs in LEDWIZ support
    - Fix a bug on the snapshot/picture screensaver
    - Fix on sort by game title on automatic gamelist generation
    - Fix display of Favorites list
    - Fix Clone Launcher Plug'ins
    - Add advanced video option to support HQ Emumovies video
